Alaska - Part 1

We arrived in Alaska late Saturday night - and have been fishing since. Sometimes we've had luck, sometimes we haven't. Fortunately, it only seems to rain when the boys are napping or when we are driving to Soldotna.

We've spent about an equal amount of time fishing in the Russian River and at the Kenai River in Soldotna. The fish have been huge (and they love to jump off from my hook!)...

In the last two days, we've had a bit of bad luck with three broken rods (Doug, Dad, and Chris) and a stringer of fish that got loose and floated down the Kenai. But, the sun is shining now. We're at the Soldona laundry mat cleaning clothes and taking a shower. We're headed back to the Russian River as soon as our clothes dry.
