We've been so busy traveling and working this summer that we haven't posted many updates on the kids alone. So, here are some observations.
Nicholas is a very sweet boy. He ends almost every telephone conversation with "Goodbye, I love you". Doug or I get the same response if we have to go somewhere without him. He loves his brother Donovan, and Donovan loves him. When Donovan is sad, Nicholas calls out "It's OK Donovan. I'm right here." Nicholas and Donovan love to chase each other and play "funny" games.
Nicholas continues to be very active. He doesn't tire easily, even after miles of walking. His vocabulary now has no limit. He always talks near us, but is rather quiet around other people.
Donovan will be 11 months old in a week! He is generally a very happy boy and today I noticed him "singing" along with some music. His only recognizable words are "ma ma ma ma..." and "da da da da ... ". We think he is generally more cautious than Nicholas was at this age. However, he is starting to walk and took five steps yesterday. Today he learned to climb up onto the train table. Yikes! He loves to race up the stairs and has learned how to climb back down the stairs.
