We traveled last week to Orlando, Florida. Aricca had a conference to attend for the first part of the week (Tuesday-Thursday) and was joined by Doug, Nicholas, and Donovan on Wednesday night. Doug and the boys enjoyed a visit to the Kennedy Space Center and spent a good bit of time playing in the hotel pool. On Friday, we took the boys to Disney (the first trip for Aricca, Nicholas, and Donovan). We finished up with a day at the beach (on a wildlife refuge near the Kennedy Space Center) and traveled home on Saturday night.
Kennedy Space Center...

Every time Nicholas sees this picture he tells us that he was driving on the moon! : )
Our Enormous Room!!!
Doug upgraded our room from a standard size room to one that was bigger than our own house! Yikes! It worked out to be a fantastic idea. We had a kitchen, lots of sleeping (and napping) space, and a great place to call "home".

Trip to Disney!
Our trip to Disney was a hit and Nicholas already wants to go back. We took advantage of many of the more mellow aspects (i.e., the boat trip to the park entrance, lots of merry-go-round rides, touring through Mickey's House, etc.). Both boys really enjoyed it and Doug and I marvelled at the "business aspects" of Disney.

Nicholas loved driving race cars. If you look closely at the picture below, you can see that the car is banging into the rail that it drives along. We spent the entire ride with Nicholas cranking the wheel from one side to the other. He now wonders when he can have his driver's license.

Donovan was excited about Donald Duck. Notice Nicholas trying to escape!

Donovan really enjoyed the "It's a Small World" boat ride. Nicholas' favorite was the Peter Pan flying boat ride.

Trip to the Beach!

Trip to the Beach!
Our Saturday trip to the beach was nice. The weather was in the 70s, a big improvement from the day at Disney (maybe 60 degrees). Donovan took every opportunity to run into the water. We unfortunately had to be particularly careful since hundreds of Portuguese Man of War jellyfish had washed onto the shore (at the high tide line) and we weren't sure what was in the water.

Christmas Preparation...
Christmas Preparation...
Finally, we've spent this week getting ready for the holidays. We picked out our tree and decorated it on Sunday. Nicholas and Donovan have been helping to make ornaments for it all week long.

Prior to our trip to Florida, we had a wonderful visit from Beth, Dave, Nathan, Benji, and Max. We took the boys to the pool and then decorated Christmas cookies at our house. It was great to see them and wonderful to meet baby Max.
It's Cold...
Finally, just a few more pictures. We now have snow and Nicholas is pretty excited about it. He's also pretty good at walking in the deep snow this year (Yeah!). Donovan isn't crazy about the cold weather, hates wearing his snowsuit and boots, and doesn't really like the snow... Hmmm.... we'll have to get him excited about it soon. : )
