Today was a beautiful day for Nicholas' birthday. Perfectly clear, blue skies and warm weather (around 50). The boys and I spent much of the morning outside playing (and cleaning up the yard). Both boys have been very excited for Nicholas' birthday. Yesterday we went to town and picked up candles, balloons, streamers, etc. This afternoon we decorated the house while Doug made Nicholas a birthday cake (modeled after Froggie).
Nicholas enjoyed playing with the Daddy frog (green), Mommy frog (green and yellow), and Froggie (pink and yellow frog)!
He was especially excited to have four candles on his cake... he wasn't too thrilled to actually have to cut up a frog leg to eat the cake.
The boys do a fantastic job working together at opening presents - and both were equally excited about everything. : ) They had a really fun time together all day (and evening).
