A few days after Mom, Dad, and Chris headed back to Wisconsin and Michigan, Doug headed to San Francisco for his annual orthopedic research conferences. While the kids and I had the option of going with, we decided to rough it here in New Hampshire. The time flew by and we are happy to have Doug back with us.
We spent the 8 or 9 days playing legos, legos, and more legos. For those of you that haven't used Legos recently, they are small, plastic, interlocking building blocks of every imaginable shape. They are the perfect size to fit in Lily's mouth, they have sharp corners that stick in your feet, and they hold the boys attention for hours on end. I'm sending a few examples of the creations that the boys were most proud of. Most of these are space ships.

Ugh... this is a way too common sight for me in the morning. Lily is almost as crazy of a climber as Nicholas was when he was her age.
Finally, the kids and I had a wonderful visit with our friends Jess and Scott, and their daughter Sigrid - who is just a few weeks older than Lily. I'm always thankful that Scott's parent's live near us, which gives Jess and Scott a good reason to come visit us a few times a year!! : )
