All summer we've been meaning to take the kids up to the White Mountains. We finally had our opportunity in early September. We started our day out with "gold mining" on the Wild Ammonoosuc River (found a few flakes), then drove back home through the White Mountains. The weather was perfect, and the kids really enjoyed exploring.
