Our winter has flown by, and I can't believe that it is already mid-March.
Here are a few pictures that capture the things that have most entertained the kids in the past couple of months.
Nicholas and Donovan woke up early most days to work on their legos. This is a ship that Nicholas built.
Lily has been enjoying playing with her dolls, including several of her own Barbies, a Barbie that I had as a child, and Barbie clothes from the 2010s, 1980s, and 1960s.
Donovan and Lily on a little sledding adventure down the road following one of our snow storms.
Lily's first day on downhill skis.
One of many outfits that Lily wore to our tea parties.
The friends that Lily brought to the tea party.
Jay Peak, Vermont
In early February, Doug had a conference in Northern Vermont. Jay Peak has an extremely family friendly resort, and the kids loved the waterpark, downhill skiing, and exploring our condo (that was right on the ski trail). Despite a few hiccups, it was a very fun trip!

A view of the full indoor water park.
All of the kids had a downhill ski lesson (this is Lily with her instructor). Lily learned how to turn to a stop and snowplow. The boys learned how to ski through the trees - which gave them more confidence than they should probably have at this age. They are very fast skiers, and have no fear.
By the end of the day, Lily was able to ride the chairlift with me - which she was very proud of - and ski back down with very little assistance from me.
