Playing with Nana

We spent the past weekend in the Philadelphia area helping Peter and Kathleen move to their new home. Nicholas and I weren't quite as helpful as Doug... we instead spent our time having fun. Eating grapes, blowing bubbles, watching worms crawl.... Apparently all of our efforts made Nicholas a little warm, since he jumped into the bathtub fully clothed (shoes included) and started pouring water over his head!

Nicholas had loads of fun playing catch with Nana under Peter and Kathleen's willow tree. He did a great job hiding from Nana - and also returning the ball so that she could throw it back under the tree.

Nicholas' vocabulary continues to grow. One of his favorite words is "ice" - which stands for "ice water", "ice cubes", "ice cream" ... and even snow banks - though we've only seen them in the pictures recently.
