Sun... Finally

We finally seemed to have returned to summer weather. We had a great -- and busy weekend. On Saturday, Nicholas' "best friends" Rosie and Luca turned two. We spent the morning at their birthday party -- and the afternoon in northern Vermont at the Currier Family Barn party. Sunday was beautiful and we spent the morning on the Connecticut River and the afternoon at the elementary school playground.

Earlier this week, Nicholas and I were exploring the trails at the Montshire Museum of Science and found a perfect sand beach on the Connecticut River. Doug, Nicholas, and I paddled our canoe to the same location. The water was higher than earlier in the week (i.e., no beach), but it was still a fun place for Nicholas to play.

Nicholas loves tunnels... whether they are slides, spaces under tables, or special "tunnel" blankets. Note: The "tunnel" blanket is a normal blanket, but is our strategy for teaching Nicholas to keep his covers on when he goes to bed.

Rosie and Nicholas are great playmates. They love playing together.

Nicholas and Luca - eating birthday cake and "ice" (ice cream).

Nicholas and Rosie in the bouncy house...

Nicholas loves tractors. We've had to modify the "Old MacDonald" song to include a verse about tractors, one about bulldozers, and sometimes one about a "digger".

The Currier Farm - Nicholas has recently started asking for "cow" when he wants milk. ; )
