We met up with Beth, Dave, Nathan, and Benji yesterday for a day at the Hopkinton State Fair (outside of Concord, NH).
Nicholas saw his first goats and sheeps, both of which were in a children's petting area. He loved to feed the baby goats, pet them, and give them cuddles. He now also loves to make goat noises. : )
Nicholas also went on his first real amusement park ride. Nathan, Benji, Nicholas, and I loaded ourselves into a "small" train car and rode several times around a small track. Nicholas spent most of the ride saying "Help, Help, Ha (helicopter)". This is in reference to his "Thomas the Tank Engine" book in which the train is rescued by a helicopter.

Today, the three of us played a round of mini-golf. Nicholas was very helpful in retrieving the balls from the holes, dropping them in the water features, and carrying them from one hole to the next. He also practiced his golf stroke (with a little assistance). He and Doug combined actually scored better than Doug alone on one hole. : )
