It is hard to believe, but Lilian has now been with us for two weeks. She continues to do well. Still lots of sleep, lots of eating, and lots of dirty diapers. When she was born, the first words out of Doug's mouth were, "Aricca, she is beautiful." Every time I look at her, I feel the same way.
She is more petite than either boy, loves to be held, and is very mellow. We all just love her! She sleeps through almost any noise (the vacuum cleaner, fire trucks and dump trucks racing through the living room, etc.), which makes me laugh at how quiet we were when Nicholas was born...
I continue to be amazed that her immune system is so strong, she has still avoided catching an awful cold that has plagued Nicholas, Donovan, Doug, and me for almost a month (and was caught by probably half of our extended family). After lots of worry about her vulnerability to catching the cold, our pediatrician suggested that we should encourage the boys to wear a face mask and have a chance to hold her and start forming a strong relationship with her. Although her arrival has come with some regression in both boys behavior, they really love to hold her, check on her, and be big brothers. Fortunately the boys and I are nearly over our colds... a huge victory!

Lisa stayed with us until the morning of Wednesday, December 1st. It was wonderful to have her here and we really appreciate all of her help!
On Wednesday night, December 1st, my mom and brothers Chris and Donovan arrived. Chris stayed with us until Friday, and Mom and Donovan stayed with us until the following Wednesday, December 8th. The boys loved having family in town for so long...

I love the "dream smiles"!
Grandma celebrated her 59th birthday with us... The boys decorated the cake, and we pulled Grandpa in to the celebration through the computer.
Tiny Grandma... Her wedding band fits Nicholas' middle finger and Donovan's index finger...
With all the family excitement, we still had time to visit Santa at the Hanover Inn. The fear of "coal" is helping to keep Nicholas' behavior in check...
