Lily is now 10 and a half weeks old and doing great! She had her two month check-up a week ago and apparently is doing everything that a two-month old should do... including growing quickly. Since she was born, she has gained about 3.5 pounds and about two inches in length. Interestingly, she is about two pounds lighter than Nicholas was at this age (they were about the same length), and four pounds lighter than Donovan at two months (he was about an inch and a half longer)... She's also starting to be more interested in playing with things and has figured out how to grab on to toys and bat them around.
Anyway, all three are doing great. I've taken them to the "bouncy house" this week and last week and the boys just love it (Lily sleeps right through it). The bouncy house is at the Hanover Community Center. It is a big inflatable structure that the kids can jump around in. The Community Center also has several foam climbing structures that the kids love to jump and roll on. They have a lot of fun and use up a ton of energy!
We've had a lot of snow in the past few weeks. The snow in the yard is above my knees. We took out the snowshoes this weekend and made trails for the boys to get from the driveway to their playground. Both boys really loved using their snowshoes. We've taken the kids out skiing a couple of times as well. They are both doing really well. Nicholas is starting to become quite fast, and is learning how to go down hills without falling. Donovan needs a bit of an incentive to go anywhere, unless he is getting pushed along - which he really loves. Lily stays toasty warm in her sled.
Aside from that, we've also been spending plenty of time inside. The boys are doing a great job playing together. They've been playing board games, coloring, and making up lots of imaginary games. In the picture below, Donovan wanted Nicholas to give him a horseback ride. Apparently, he was a bit heavier than Nicholas expected. Donovan's vocabularly has really exploded in the last month or so and he and Nichoas are always talking to each other. (They've been upstairs in their bedroom playing and talking for the last 75 minutes since we put them to bed... Ugh!)
