Donovan is Four!

Donovan turned four on October 7th. To surprise him on his birthday, Grandma and Grandpa drove out to spend several days with us. They arrived the afternoon before his birthday, and all of the kids were VERY surprised and very excited.

Nicholas, Doug, and Donovan - Donovan's (and Nicholas') first presents were bottles of "silly string".

Clearly, Doug was the target. (Thanks Uncle Dave for the inspiration.)

Nicholas chose a dump truck Lego to give to Donovan. They worked together for several hours to build the truck.

Nicholas and Doug worked in the afternoon to build Donovan's penguin cake.

The Penguin - complete with cracker feet, and gummy worms and fish for him to snack on.

The Dums family gave Donovan a really great remote control "big green tractor" for his birthday. The tractor is very fast - and it is very easy for the kids to control it. It ha, however, been banned from driving inside the house.

Donovan adding the finishing touches to his cake. He had picked out blue jelly-beans at the candy store and gave him buttons.

Donovan - very excited!

Doug and the kids - checking out (and eating) the decorations.

Donovan, Nicholas, and Lily opening their bath scrubbies from Uncle Ray, Aunt Malu, Neel, and Hael.

Donovan also received an "inside" remote control from Nana and Bapa. This one drives on the walls and ceilings with suction.

More legos. I love how much the boys work together and share on their birthdays.

More pictures from the past few months are in the slideshow below.
