Grandma and Grandpa joined us for our annual pumpkin search. The kids and I each found a pumpkin, but Doug couldn't find something big enough for his taste. (He found it this weekend - and it is at least twice as big as the others!)

We had a great visit with Mom and Dad - and are looking forward to seeing them again soon. Before they left, they joined the kids and me at Nicholas' school sing-along. Every Tuesday morning, all of the kindergarten, first, and second grade students gather in the music room and sing a variety of songs. Usually the songs are tied to the time of year. I think they might have sang a Columbus song and Yankee Doodle (plus some others) when Mom and Dad were here. Last week they sang Halloween songs and I expect that we'll have more Halloween songs this week (if school doesn't get cancelled because of Hurricane Sandy).
Since Mom and Dad left, we've been enjoying lots of remote control activity every weekend. Doug is now getting quite good with the Nexstar. He can make it do flips and rolls - and still has been landing it safely. Phew... Meanwhile, the boys take the remote control tractor and chase each other around the field. : )
