We finished 2012 with separate visits from Ray, Malu, Neel and Hael and from Chris. It was wonderful to have them out here! We all loved playing in the snow, smashing our snowman into pieces, and sledding in our yard.

Chris came out just before the end of the year. We started out with attending the Dartmouth-UNH hockey game. The kids particularly liked that Chris took them to the concession stand (multiple times) for cotton candy, hot dogs, and water. The game was fun to watch, and I'm particularly happy that Donovan wasn't petrified of the zamboni (which was the case last year).

Lily is perfectly happy on skis!
Donovan really seems to enjoy being on skis - and tends to stay on his feet much more than Nicholas (in the distance). I think this may be due, in part, to the length of Nicholas' new skis - which are substantially longer than the pair he had last year.

Chris and Nicholas - heading downhill... Nicholas has since started taking a ski class - which he REALLY enjoys. He's only had one session - the other was cancelled because we lost all of our snow. Hopefully our weather cooperates in the coming weeks!

In between the Van Citters and Dums visits, we spent a lot of time working on projects with the kids and playing outside.
There might be a little engineer in all of them. Lily is covering herself in duck tape, while Nicholas, Doug, and Donovan hoist a space shuttle into the back of their new Lego "unimog".
We had great sledding over the break - our snow is now pretty sparse and rough so we haven't been back to the sledding hill in a while.
