Spring is here... At the very end of March we helped the Curriers tap their maple trees and hang the buckets. On the tapping day, the snow was probably 3 feet deep in the woods - but very soft. We were up there last weekend to help collect sap, and there was still plenty of snow on the ground.

Last weekend we started collecting. We were only out for a couple of hours, but brought in about 500 gallons of sap. We left with over 100 trees to still collect... but had to leave since the kids were much too wet to stay outside. (I'm in the green hat and green/purple jacket.)
