Lily is 6 Months

Lily had her six month appointment today. She is 17 pounds 10 ounces and 26.5 inches tall (78% in both). As soon as her pediatrician walked into the room she commented on how much Lily looks like Donovan (they both look like Van Citters, while Nicholas looks more like a Dums). Lily has now been sitting by herself for quite some time. She loves to eat - particularly peaches, pears, and applesauce. Her least favorite food to date is mushed up peas, but even those she will eat. She continues to love her brothers and most other people. Last night she slept through the night (8:30pm to 6:30am), but usually she is up around 2:30 and 6:00. Today she showed her first true interest in rolling over (she really wanted an orange sticky note), but couldn't quite flip from her back to her belly. She hasn't shown any interest in rolling from her belly to back. Overall, she is doing just great!

We celebrated Nana's birthday in Annapolis last weekend. Doug and the kids were able to spend four great days with Nana and Bapa, and Peter and Kathleen were able to join them for one of those days. Unfortunately I had to work on most of the time, but it was wonderful to see and hear how much fun the kids had. Nicholas spent as much time as he could climbing trees. When he wasn't in a tree, he and Donovan were racing through the sprinkler. We also took many trips to the local beach. The boys loved playing in the sand and water. We're looking forward to returning to Annapolis sometime this summer.

The warm Annapolis weather followed us back to New Hampshire. All three kids enjoyed a trip to Storr's Pond this weekend. The water is so shallow that it is already warm enough to swim. Even Lily enjoyed sitting in the water and splashing.

The warm weather also means that we've taken out our tiny pool. The boys LOVE it!!!
