Cody, Wyoming to Old Faithful Inn, Yellowstone

We drove from Cody, Wyoming to the Old Faithful Inn in Yellowstone on the third day of our journey. 

We started our day with a swim in the pool - always a requirement when we stayed at a hotel with a pool. Our Cody hotel had both an indoor and outdoor pool. The kids enjoyed both as soon as the pools opened. (Donovan, Nicholas, and Lily)

 We then climbed in the car and headed further West to Yellowstone. (Nicholas, Donovan, Lily, and Doug).

 Before we began our trip, Doug promised the kids ice cream every day. As it got later in the day, Nicholas (left) was always good at reminding us about this promise. 

 We loaned one of our cameras to Nicholas and Donovan for the duration of our trip and many of the pictures that we've included were taken by one of them. Their perspective is a bit different than Doug and mine, and it was fun to see what they found interesting. This is one of their pictures. It is a stuffed animal that Nicholas brought on the trip. Each of the kids brought at least one small stuffed animal from home and they were involved in lots of car games AND fights.

We stayed in the Old Faithful Inn - which is one of the very coolest buildings we've been in. Our room was one of four in the main section of the lodge. It was a corner room, beautiful inside, and overlooked the geyser basin. Nicholas, Donovan, and Lily worked in the journals at the old desks outside our room (jellybeans were the incentivizes for adding lots of details to their pictures).
